I completely disagree.... while i am afraid that she is meerly infatuated with him, he is more mature than he is and realizes the potential for danger. He is over 100 years old.... while Jake is "fun" he too is just a teenager and would not/ could not offer the devotion that edward is capable of. I would love to seem them together.... but i think she will end up with not marrying anyone. I wish i had someone adore me like Edward. She fell in love with edward... her first real love. Jake just happen to be there.... it could have been anyone. They were friends... and he was there... if anything he is a rebound relationship... and was able to secure her trust "physically" because he knew her.

I found "Restless" very readable but it didn't fulfill its promise in that the plot was very thin. The mysterious coming and going kept me interested in what would or may have been an outcome of all that espionage but in fact the end was flat. I also thought that the two voices of Sal and Ruth merged into the same character and there wasn't much differentiating the two characters. The mother first introduced in the wheel chair seemed to be ancient and then turns out to be 66 yrs old. Good read but not much meat on the bone.

I loved this one! I didn't read it quite in one sitting, but definitely inside of a weekend. I was really surprised by the ending too, though my co-worker claims she had figured it out. Fie on her!

I had the exact same reaction.

I just don't see Edward's appeal. She and Jacob had fun together, he made her laugh, they were evenly matched. Edward was just dreary. I don't care how much he sparkles in the sunlight.

The way she kept harping on how she would simply DIE if she weren't with Edward plus that whole agreeing to marry him just so she could have sex with him thing were totally irresponsible of Meyer. They're both extremely dangerous lessons to be teaching young women.

But, yeah, I'll read the next one too.

Nope, this is the first one I read. I requested "Any Human Heart" at the library, but it hasn't come in yet

Just found out that they are filming TULIA in Louisiana instead of Texas. Ditto for the astronaut farmer flick with Tommy Lee Jones. It's all about incentives that the state can give the production companies. Maybe, NYC has better incentives at this time (read cheaper place to work comparatively).
